It’s creamy smooth and has deeper, richer flavors than pumpkin.  A very satisfying pie and easy to make.  Be sure to serve it with whipped cream!  This is an updated recipe, which happened to win a blue ribbon for a Pie Pal at the NM State Fair Pie Contest.

It has a (now not so) secret ingredient that cuts the sugary sweetness of a traditional pecan pie and adds depth, The strips of pastry on top make it elegant and even more inviting. Took a Best of Show in 2007.

This is like those chocolate minty cookies sold by neighborhood girls in the Spring...only more creamy and "adult." A decadent indulgence. (I challenge you to find one ingredient in here with any redeeming nutritional value. But what the heck.)
